Turn entire mailboxes into court-ready PDFs
Drop in an MBOX export or a pile of .eml / .msg files. Get back a single PDF volume — chronological, with a table of contents, attachments in place and page numbers — plus a metadata CSV index your team can search, filter and cite.
or click to choose files — a Gmail Takeout .mbox, a Thunderbird folder export, or loose emails.
Your plan: Free — up to 25 MB per file, 100 emails per conversion, 3 conversions per month. Create a free account to keep your conversion history.
Files are processed on our server over HTTPS and deleted automatically within 24 hours. We never read, sell or train on your mail. See the privacy policy.

Litigation & e-discovery support
Opposing counsel, a regulator or the court wants email as a produced document set — not a raw mailbox dump. The volume is sorted oldest-first (or grouped by thread), every page is numbered, and Pro adds continuous Bates stamps with per-email ranges in the CSV index, ready to log into your review workflow.
IT offboarding & compliance archives
Leavers’ mailboxes and Gmail Takeout exports become one self-contained PDF per mailbox that anyone can open in ten years — no mail client, no license, no proprietary format. The CSV index doubles as the archive catalogue.
How it works
1. Upload
Drag in an .mbox, .eml or .msg file (or several at once). Files travel over HTTPS and are processed on the server — large mailboxes are streamed, not loaded into your browser.
2. Choose the export
Pick chronological or thread order, add the CSV index and per-email ZIP, and — on Pro — filter by date or keyword and set a Bates prefix and start number.
3. Download the volume
One PDF with cover, contents page, header block on every email and attachments in place. Files are deleted automatically 24 hours later.
What the volume preserves
| Order | Chronological by sent date (undated messages last, in source order) or grouped by thread using References / In-Reply-To. |
|---|---|
| Metadata | From, To, Cc, Date, Subject and Message-ID printed on every email — and exported to the CSV index with attachment names and thread ids. |
| Attachments | PDF, image and plain-text attachments become pages right after their email; every attachment is also embedded in the PDF as its original file, and included in the ZIP. |
| Page & Bates numbers | “Page x of y” on every page. Pro: a continuous Bates stamp with your prefix, plus bates_start / bates_end columns in the CSV. |
| Honest limits | Heavily styled HTML mail is rendered with a headless browser for fidelity, with a plain-text fallback. Encrypted or corrupt messages are flagged in the CSV instead of silently dropped. |
Frequently asked questions
What files can I convert?
Whole mailboxes in MBOX format (Gmail Takeout, Thunderbird, Apple Mail exports) and individual messages saved as .eml or Outlook .msg. You can drop several files at once — all messages are merged into one sorted volume.
What exactly do I get back?
One merged PDF: a cover page, a table of contents with start pages, then every email on its own pages in chronological order, with pageable attachments (PDFs, images, plain text) following their email and every attachment also embedded as a file. Starter and Pro add a metadata CSV index and a ZIP with one PDF per email.
Does the PDF keep email metadata?
Yes — that is the point. Every email section starts with a header block (From, To, Cc, Date, Subject, Message-ID), and the CSV index carries one row per email with dates, addresses, subject, attachment list, Message-ID and thread id, so the production stays searchable after conversion.
What is Bates numbering?
A Bates stamp is a sequential identifier printed on every page of a legal production (for example ACME-000123). On the Pro plan you set the prefix and start number; numbering runs continuously across the whole volume, and the CSV index records the first and last Bates number of every email.
How big a mailbox can I process?
It depends on your plan: Free takes files up to 25 MB and 100 emails per conversion; Starter 200 MB and 2,000 emails; Pro 1 GB and 10,000 emails. Processing is streamed on the server, so large MBOX files do not need to be split first.
What happens to my files afterwards?
Uploads and results are deleted automatically 24 hours after conversion. We do not read your mail for any other purpose, sell it, or use it to train models. The privacy policy states this plainly.
Can I filter which emails get exported?
On Pro, yes: restrict the export by date range and a keyword matched against subject, sender and body before you generate. The applied filters are printed on the volume's cover page.
Why not just print emails from Outlook or Thunderbird?
That works for a handful of messages. For a case file or an archive you need one sorted, paginated, self-indexing document — with attachments in place and a metadata index — which is exactly what the volume is.
